Which level is best for you?

All Levels - Designed for everyone from beginners to seasoned yogis. With a focus on foundational poses, mindful movement, and breath awareness, students have the opportunity to tailor the class to their individual level. Plenty of modifications and variations will be offered throughout class, giving students the opportunity to challenge themselves as desired or take it easy as needed. A well-rounded class with elements of strength-building, flexibility improvement, and finding balance.

Please note: "All Levels" doesn't mean "easy"--but that plenty of options and modifications will be given for the majority of poses.

Level 1 - Our most gentle or basic class. These classes include "Restorative Yoga", "Gentle Yoga" and "Yoga Basics". Very slow paced and may be hyper-focus on alignment. Best for beginners or those wanting a slow/foundational class.

Level 2 - For the yogi who has started to build a solid foundation and steady practice and is ready to explore further growth in their practice. These classes will require greater physical and mental strength and greater breath control.  Classes are mildly paced; a well rounded practice of cardio, strength building, and flexibility work--as well as increased focus on linking breath to movement. Classes may start to explore more intermediate poses (ex: Crow, Inversions, Backbends, Binds).

Level 2/3 - For the intermediate to advanced student who is extremely comfortable with their practice and looking for that extra fire! Students have a strong understanding of breath awareness, are comfortable with making their own modifications when necesssary, and do not need lots of alignment cues in poses. These classes may move at a rapid pace, include creative and super-flowy sequencing, have extra core-work, and include exploration into the most "advanced" physical postures (arm balances, inversions, etc).

  • Please do not be late. We lock our doors at the start of class to ensure safety for students and teachers. We cannot unlock the door once class has begun.
  • BEGINNERS: Beginners are encouraged to start with 5-10 "All Levels" classes before exploring Level 2 and Level 3 classes. (Ask about Private Yoga Sessions for customized 1-on-1 instruction).
  • Arrive early to class to settle in and make purchases if it is your first time. Doors will open 15 minutes prior to class.
  • It is best to practice yoga on a light stomach.
  • If you are sick in any way or showing syptoms of being sick, please do not enter the studio for respect of fellow students and teachers. We all want to stay healthy!
  • If you have a medical condition or injury you would like the teacher to be aware of, please let them know before class starts.
  • Please put all shoes, coats, etc. in storage cubbies in the entry way of the studio. No shoes should be worn into the class setting. Socks are not recommended.
  • No cell phones are allowed in studio during class time.
  • All classes are recommended to be pre-booked only at www.intuneyogataos.com or by logging into your student account on the Vagaro app.  Walk-ins will always be welcome if capacity has not been reached.
  • Be responsible for your own body; choose a class that is an appropriate level and ability for your own range.
  • Classes are for ages 16+. We do not have childcare and can not allow unsupervised children in the lobby.
  • Private instruction is encouraged for any student who is brand new to yoga or wants a customized practice (ex: injury recovery, one-on-one instruction, pregnancy, etc.)
  • Remember, yoga is not a performance...it's a practice!  Students are encouraged to challenge themselves and have fun! Leave your self-judgements and expectations behind as you enter. We welcome any questions you may have. See you soon!

STRONG HATHA:

Tuesdays:  5:30pm - 6:30pm

Fridays: 9:00am-10:00am

STRONG HATHA

No offense to chaturanga's but you won't find 'em in this class! Hatha classes focus on long holds and slow movements, allowing time for proper alignment, refinement, and connection to breath.  Poses may consist of standing, seated, balancing, and twisting and range in difficulty.  A strenght based class appropriate for all levels.  (Hatha Yoga is different from Vinyasa, as generally there is not a linked flow between each pose. Instead, each pose is set up and aligned individually, while holding the pose for several rounds of breath).

RESTORATIVE YIN

This class incorporates elements of both restorative and yin yoga (see descriptions below), and is dedicated to de-stressing and self-care. Wear your comfiest, coziest clothes and be ready to relax and go inward. Props are used for support (bolsters, blocks, and blankets) as we bring a calming effect to the entire nervous system. Poses are held for several minutes at a time in order to fully immerse and go inward.  Perfect for those looking for a slow paced class to chill out. Hard-core yogi's and/or athletes are encouraged to take this class on rest and recovery days.
Restorative Yoga: Completely restful and relaxing postures with the support of props. Poses are held for a minimum of 5 minutes and may be held up to 10 minutes.
Yin Yoga: Deep stretches to target the connective tissue; improves flexibility and range of motion while calming the body. Props may be used. Poses are held 2-5 minutes.

 VIN / YIN

The best of both worlds! In this class, you'll combine the dynamic flow of Vinyasa with the deep, meditative stretches of Yin. We'll start with a vinyasa flow to build heat, improve circulation, and energize the body. This is followed by the Yin portion, where poses are held passively for longer durations to target the deeper connective tissues, improve flexibility, and cultivate mindfulness. Suitable for all levels, this class promotes physical restoration and mental relaxation; a perfect blend of movement and stillness to harmonize body and mind.
