CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Which level is best for you?

All Levels - Designed for everyone from beginners to seasoned yogis. With a focus on mindful movement and breath awareness, students have the opportunity to tailor the class to their individual level. Plenty of modifications and instruction will be offered throughout class by instructor, giving students the opportunity to challenge themselves as desired or take it easy as needed. A well-rounded class with elements of strength-building, flexibility improvement, and finding balance.

Please note: "All Levels" doesn't mean "easy"--but that plenty of options and modifications will be given for the majority of poses.


Level 2 - Students have a strong understanding of breath awareness, are comfortable with making their own modifications when necesssary, and are comfortable with fewer alignment cues. These classes will require greater physical and mental strength and greater breath control. Classes may be fast-paced and more advanced postures may be explored.

  • Please do not be late. We lock our doors at the start of class to ensure safety for students and teachers. We cannot unlock the door once class has begun.
  • Arrive early to class to settle in and make purchases if it is your first time. Doors will open 15 minutes prior to class.
  • BEGINNERS: Beginners are encouraged to start with 5-10 "All Levels" classes before exploring Level 2 classes. (Ask about Private Yoga Sessions for customized 1-on-1 instruction).
  • It is best to practice yoga on a light stomach.
  • If you are sick in any way or showing syptoms of being sick, please do not enter the studio for respect of fellow students and teachers. We all want to stay healthy!
  • If you have a medical condition or injury you would like the teacher to be aware of, please let them know before class starts.
  • Please put all shoes, coats, etc. in storage cubbies in the entry way of the studio. No shoes should be worn into the class setting. Socks are not recommended. 
  • No cell phones are allowed in studio during class time.
  • All classes are recommended to be pre-booked only at www.intuneyogataos.com.
  • Walk-ins will always be welcome if capacity has not been reached.
  • Be responsible for your own body; choose a class that is an appropriate level and ability for your own range.
  • Classes are for ages 16+. We do not have childcare and can not allow unsupervised children in the lobby.
  • Private instruction is encouraged for any student who is brand new to yoga or wants a customized practice (ex: injury recovery, one-on-one instruction, pregnancy, etc.)
  • Remember, yoga is not a performance...it's a practice!  Students are encouraged to challenge themselves and have fun! Leave your self-judgements and expectations behind as you enter. We welcome any questions you may have. See you soon!

POWER VINYASA

Students can expect a faster paced vinyasa class with fewer alignment cues. We will connect breath to movement through creative sequencing and more advanced postures. Come and find your edge in this class! 

Note: This class is not at all for beginners. Students new to yoga should start with one of our "All Levels" classes or a private session.

VINYASA FLOW

A dynamic class that synchronizes breath to movement, this practice cultivates strength, flexibility, and balance while moving at a mindful pace. Designed for all levels of experience, instructors will guide students through creative sequences which target the whole body for a well-rounded experience. Modifications are provided, making it a safe and welcoming class for all.

STRONG HATHA

No offense to chaturanga's or flows, but you won't find 'em in this class! We focus on longer holds in poses, allowing time for proper alignment, refinement, and connection to breath. A strength based class appropriate for all levels. Highly recommended as a compliment to your Vinyasa practice.

SCULPT

This class offers a fitness inspired practice with the mix of yoga sequencing and the use of dumbbell weights for full body toning. Yogic breathing will be cued throughout the practice making this a safe and effective way to get exercise + mindfulness in one.

PILATES + YOGA

Blend the precision of pilates with the fluid movement of Vinyasa. Pilates is a low-impact mat workout with a focus on core and back muscles. Strengthen your core, improve posture, and build lean muscle throughout the entire body.  We move with breath while flowing into Vinyasa sequences for this core-conditioning and heat-building class. All levels welcome.

PRENATAL YOGA + BIRTH PREP
Private Sessions

A regular prenatal yoga practice can help build strength and prep the body for labor, reduce stress, alleviate pregnancy pains, and deepen connection to baby. Students will learn and practice useful coping skills for labor and have informative and educational birthing discussions. Classes will include mindful movement, safe core-work, breath work for labor prep, and overall self-care and relaxation during this transformative and important time.

All Levels and All Trimesters welcome.
